Ok, we know that rally drivers tend to be the best drivers out there because they’re always on the limit in varying conditions over terrain they might have seen once or twice before, but Ken Block’s continuing efforts to branch out of the rally driver ‘box’ is admirable. First it was the massive 171-foot gap jump for the show Stunk Junkies, then it was playing around in a New Zealand ski park for the cover of Transworld SNOWboarding magazine.
Now Block, the owner of DC Shoes, goes and reinvents the Gymkhanas of old with the help of 0-60 Mag, albeit with a 500-hp Subaru Impreza WRX STI. No 40-hp Minis or Caterhams here…
The result is one of the most visually arresting and fantastic auto-related videos I’ve seen in a long time.
